O ex-ministro da Saúde, Marcelo Queiroga, assinou na manhã desta quarta-feira (14) a ficha de filiação ao Partido Liberal, em ato que aconteceu na sede do diretório nacional da legenda, em Brasília.
A filiação foi prestigiada pelo ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro (PL), o presidente nacional da sigla, Valdemar da Costa Neto, o deputado federal Wellington Roberto, o senador Magno Malta, o ex-ministro Braga Neto e lideranças bolsonaristas.
O ato de filiação é o primeiro passo de Queiroga para disputar a Prefeitura de João Pessoa em 2024. Hoje, durante a solenidade, Valdemar “lançou” o nome do médico como candidato à sucessão municipal.
Ontem, em vídeo encaminhado à Rede Mais, Valdemar da Costa Neto rasgou elogios a Marcelo Queiroga e disse que o ele “vai fazer muito” pela capital paraibana.
Bolsonarismo rachado
A chegada de Marcelo Queiroga ao Partido Liberal com pompas do favorito a ser candidato à Prefeitura de João Pessoa no próximo ano causou um racha no bolsonarismo de João Pessoa.
O ex-candidato ao governo pelo PL em 2022, Nilvan Ferreira, não abre mão de ser o nome da legenda na disputa pelo Centro Administrativo Municipal. Ele criticou a articulação nacional para filiação do cardiologista e tem dito que quem vai definir o candidato “é a base”.
Essa é a mesma posição do deputado federal Cabo Gilberto Silva, presidente do PL em João Pessoa, e de Wallber Virgolino, que em 2020 ficou na quarta posição na disputa pela Prefeitura da Capital.
