Na tarde desta quinta-feira (13), a polícia interrompeu uma entrevista da equipe da Record TV com a mãe da menina Ana Sofia, sumida há 9 dias em Bananeiras, e a levou para prestar depoimento sobre o caso. A polícia estaria trabalhando agora com a hipótese de que alguém da família estaria envolvido com o sumiço da garota.
De acordo com o correspondente Everton Douglas, da Rádio Guarabira FM, emissora da Rede Correio Sat, a polícia começou realizar buscas na cidade de Pilõezinhos, a cerca de 30 km do local onde Sofia teria desaparecido, depois que um tio de Sofia recebeu uma ligação na hora que estava prestando depoimento.
Após rastrear a origem da ligação, a polícia chegou ao local de onde a ligação supostamente teria partido. Cães farejadores fizeram varredura e não encontraram pistas.
