Morreu nesta segunda-feira (10), o ex-prefeito de Bananeiras-PB, Augusto Bezerra Cavalcanti Neto, aos 67 anos. A informação foi confirmada pelo sobrinho, prefeito Matheus Bezerra, que também decretou três dias de luto no município.
Augusto Bezerra foi prefeito de Bananeiras por três mandatos. Ele vinha lutando contra um câncer. Augusto deixa a esposa e três filhos.
De acordo com informações divulgadas pelo filho, Dr. José Moura Neto, o velório será em João Pessoa, no Morada da Paz, das 13h30 até as 15h30, em seguida o corpo segue para a cidade de Bananeiras e será velado na casa da família, a partir das 19h00.
O sepultamento está marcado para esta terça-feira (11), às 10h00, em Bananeiras.

Augusto Bezerra foi prefeito três vezes de nosso município, diretor do Banco do Nordeste, sempre representou e exaltou a nossa terra por onde passou, além de ter dado uma grande contribuição na vida de tantas pessoas.
